As ministers from Muslim countries converge in Qatar, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has arrived in Israel. He visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Reportedly, Rubio is ‘seeking answers’ from officials following the Israeli actions in Gaza, which seemingly undermined efforts to end the conflict. Despite this, Rubio stated that the US-Israel relationship is ‘as strong as rocks’ after his visit to the Western Wall. His visit is focused on the release of hostages in Gaza and the situation following the actions in Qatar.
