Interim Prime Minister of Nepal, Sushila Karki, addressed a program held on the occasion of Constitution Day. She stated that it is the responsibility of all Nepali citizens to protect and successfully implement the constitution adopted 10 years ago. Karki mentioned that the recent Gen-Z movement was a result of the discontent and expectations of the young generation. The government is committed to listening to the voices of the people and resolving their problems.

Karki pledged to fight corruption, create jobs, and improve the living standards of citizens. Constitution Day in Nepal is celebrated as a national day. However, this year’s programs were held on a smaller scale compared to previous years. Violence occurred during the Gen-Z protestors’ demonstrations in Nepal last week, resulting in 72 deaths. Karki became Prime Minister on September 12.
