Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has voiced his nation’s solidarity with Iran. He spoke with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, denouncing the Israeli attacks as provocative. Sharif urged unity within the Muslim world in response to the situation.

Israeli airstrikes, which occurred on June 13, resulted in casualties among senior military commanders and scientists. Iran has since retaliated with missile strikes, targeting ports and other installations.

Prime Minister Sharif criticized the Israeli actions, asserting they violate international law and the United Nations charter. He affirmed Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN charter.

In a separate development, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, held a phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The Crown Prince offered condolences to the Iranian President, the Iranian people, and the families of those affected by the attacks. He reiterated the Kingdom’s condemnation of the attacks, viewing them as a violation of Iranian sovereignty and international norms.

The Saudi Crown Prince emphasized that the attacks impede ongoing dialogue aimed at resolving the crisis and hinder efforts to de-escalate tensions, highlighting the importance of dialogue over the use of force.
