    Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Luiz InĂ¡cio Lula da Silva held a telephone conversation on Thursday, agreeing to fortify cooperation across several sectors. Discussions focused on bolstering collaboration in trade and technology, energy, defense, agriculture, health, and people-to-people ties. They also exchanged views on global and regional issues of mutual interest and pledged to maintain regular contact to elevate the India-Brazil strategic partnership. PM Modi later shared details of the conversation on his X account, emphasizing the importance of a strong, people-centric partnership among Global South nations.

    During the 17th BRICS summit, PM Modi and President Lula da Silva previously met, highlighting a shared stance on combating terrorism and growing defense cooperation. The leaders also discussed agriculture, food security, energy transformation, climate change, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and industrial partnerships.
