    Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commenced a two-day visit to Japan, where he will participate in the 15th India-Japan Annual Summit. Following this, PM Modi will proceed to China. The visit to Japan will focus on bolstering technological and investment collaborations, while the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in China will provide a platform for India to showcase its active role in multilateral issues. Discussions are anticipated to encompass normalizing relations with China.

    During the annual summit in Japan, PM Modi will join the 15th annual summit at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. The focus will be on elevating the Special Strategic and Global Partnership between the two nations. Key agenda items include expanding economic and investment ties and fostering cooperation in emerging sectors such as AI and semiconductors. PM Modi emphasized the commitment to strengthening the civilizational and cultural partnership between India and Japan.

    In China, PM Modi will attend the SCO summit in Tianjin, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. He stated that India is an active and constructive member of the SCO and will promote new ideas during its chairmanship, including innovation, health, and cultural exchange. PM Modi will also engage in bilateral meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Putin, and other key leaders.

    The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this tour would not only fortify India’s national interests but also pave the way for peace, security, and sustainable development at regional and global levels.
