    Severe weather has struck Nepal, causing widespread devastation due to heavy rainfall, landslides, and flooding. Homes have been submerged, and many people are displaced. The eastern region of Nepal has been particularly hard hit, with 42 fatalities reported. Five individuals are currently missing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his condolences regarding the loss of life in Nepal. He affirmed India’s commitment to providing all possible assistance to the neighboring nation during this challenging time.

    Modi shared a post on social media, stating, ‘The loss of lives and damage caused by heavy rains in Nepal is distressing. We stand with the people and Government of Nepal in this difficult time. As a friendly neighbor and first responder, India remains committed to providing any assistance that may be required.’
