    Recent statements from US President Donald Trump have taken a positive turn, particularly regarding India. After imposing tariffs, Trump has begun referring to Prime Minister Modi as a good friend, and frequently praises him. In response to Trump’s compliments, PM Modi has reacted. He stated that he wholeheartedly appreciates and fully reciprocates President Trump’s sentiments and positive assessment of their relationship. India and the US share a very positive and forward-looking Comprehensive and Global Strategic Partnership.

    During a press conference, the US President mentioned that he and Modi will always remain friends and that Modi is a great Prime Minister. He emphasized the special relationship between India and the US, asserting there was nothing to worry about. Previously, Trump posted on social media, expressing concerns about India and Russia potentially being influenced by China. He included an older photo of PM Modi with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
