Two days before the scheduled meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15th, a report has emerged detailing the casualties of the ongoing conflict. The report indicates that 121,507 Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine during the war, which has been ongoing for three years. This meeting will be the first between the two leaders since Trump’s second term as president. The data was compiled by the Russian independent media outlet Meduza, in collaboration with the BBC Russian Service. The figures in the report are based on the period from February 24, 2022, to July 31, 2025. Since the last update in early July, an additional 2,353 Russian soldiers have been confirmed as killed.
