Russia launched its largest aerial assault on Ukraine, deploying approximately 500 drones and 40 missiles, including hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, over a period exceeding 12 hours. The attack resulted in four fatalities and injuries to over 40 individuals. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the strikes as deliberate acts of terror targeting civilian areas.

The primary targets of the attacks were Kyiv and its surrounding areas, as well as cities such as Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytskyi. A direct hit on the building of the Cardiology Institute in Kyiv claimed the lives of four people, including a 12-year-old girl.
