The world reflects on the 79th anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, an event that continues to evoke images of devastation. The bombing resulted in approximately 140,000 fatalities by the end of 1945, encompassing immediate casualties and those who succumbed to injuries later. In response to such tragedies, many nations have implemented agreements and strategies to prevent future occurrences. Several countries have focused on safeguarding citizens in the event of a nuclear attack, leading to the construction of bunkers. Switzerland stands out in this regard, having developed a robust reputation for underground bunkers and related infrastructure, especially since the Cold War era. This has even garnered attention from figures like Colonel Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein. The Netherlands also possesses over 300,000 bunkers designed to withstand nuclear strikes, with dedicated spaces for every citizen.
