Former US President Donald Trump has once again voiced his support for tariffs, describing them as the ‘most beautiful word.’ He stated that other countries had been taking advantage of the US for many years but that the US is now treating them fairly. Trump emphasized his fondness for tariffs, calling it his favorite word, and asserted that the US is ‘becoming rich as hell.’ He highlighted the influx of ‘trillions of dollars’ and the financial gains, saying it’s something the US has never seen. He previously announced a 100% tariff on foreign-made movies, alleging the American film industry was ‘stolen’ by foreign companies. Furthermore, Trump declared his administration would impose a 100% tariff on branded and patented pharmaceutical products starting October 1, 2025, unless companies establish US production facilities.
