Trump Hints at Gaza Deal for Hostage Release and Ending the War

Former United States President Donald Trump expressed optimism regarding a potential breakthrough in the ongoing Gaza conflict. Speaking to reporters, Trump indicated the existence of a deal concerning Gaza that could facilitate the release of hostages. While details of the agreement, including the parties involved (Israel and Palestine), remained undisclosed, Trump’s remarks suggest negotiations are progressing toward a resolution aimed at ending hostilities in the region. Trump stated that the upcoming deal would resolve the longstanding conflict and secure the return of the hostages. He stated, “It’s looking like we have a deal on Gaza. I think it’s a deal that will get the hostages back. It’s gonna be a deal that will end the war.” Meanwhile, relatives of hostages held by Hamas held a protest outside the UN headquarters in New York as Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly, demanding the immediate release of the hostages. One relative stated, “My message for the rest of the International community is, if you won’t wake up now and realise that radical Islamic youth are being pushed on you, you’re going to wake up and you’re going to be in the place that we are in right now… I am warning you to understand that if you don’t act now against Hamas, its proxies and all radical Islamic youth, you’re going to be next… 80% of the people of Israel, not just Prime Minister Netanyahu, want the war to end. We want them to be released. The only thing that matters is to bring them back. Everything else will be taken care of once that ends… We need to bring our soldiers back home. We need to stop the suffering and the cycle of death there that has been there for the past 2 years.”
