In a telephone interview, Trump stated that he believes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also supports the deal. Trump and Netanyahu are scheduled to meet at the White House. Preparatory discussions took place between US special envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Netanyahu in New York before the meeting. The meeting follows Trump’s unveiling of a 21-point plan aimed at resolving the conflict in the Palestinian territory, presented during discussions with Arab and Muslim leaders at the United Nations General Assembly.
