    A shooting at Annunciation Church in Minneapolis resulted in two fatalities and injuries to at least 17 others. President Trump addressed the incident, expressing his prayers and confirming the swift response of the FBI. Authorities are also investigating potential reports of a bomb within the church and have advised residents to avoid the area while emergency services attend to the victims. The shooter has been neutralized.

    Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey later informed reporters that children were among those killed during the morning mass at Annunciation Catholic School. While the exact number of child victims was not disclosed, the mayor confirmed that children were among the deceased. Frey stated, “You cannot put into words the gravity, tragedy, or absolute pain of this moment.”

    President Donald Trump announced that he had been briefed on the “tragic shooting” and conveyed his concern. Trump stated on Truth Social: “I have been fully briefed on the tragic shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The FBI quickly responded and they are on the scene. The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation. Please join me in praying for everyone involved!” Vice President JD Vance also expressed his concern and prayers on X. A Minneapolis hospital confirmed that five children injured in the shooting have been admitted for treatment. Officials are also investigating reports suggesting a possible bomb was placed inside the church. The City of Minneapolis confirmed the situation on its official X account, urging residents to stay away from the area to allow emergency services to assist victims.
