Abdul Fattah Mahdi, brother of Talal, the victim in the Nimisha Priya execution case, has levied serious accusations against Samuel Jerome, the mediator. Mahdi alleges that Jerome, who was presented as a lawyer by various media outlets, including the BBC, is not a lawyer. He claims Jerome misused his position as a representative of Nimisha Priya’s family to collect substantial sums of money under the guise of negotiations, including a recent demand of $40,000. Mahdi asserts that he and his family never communicated with Jerome directly regarding the case and accuses Jerome of exploiting his brother’s death for personal gain.
