Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has declined Russian President Vladimir Putin’s offer to meet in Moscow. In an interview, Zelensky stated that he would not travel to the capital of terrorists, citing the daily missile attacks Ukraine is enduring. He proposed that Putin could instead come to Kyiv for a meeting.

Zelensky indicated that proposing talks in Moscow suggests Russia’s lack of interest in peace negotiations. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump is advocating for a face-to-face meeting between Zelensky and Putin, and the two leaders met in Alaska last month to discuss the possibility of such a meeting.
