Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed positive sentiments following a discussion with former US President Donald Trump. Zelenskyy highlighted a productive conversation aimed at continuing collaborative efforts to end the conflict and establish a lasting peace. This follows Trump’s announcement, in conjunction with NATO Chief Mark Rutte, regarding a US deal to supply weapons to Ukraine through NATO allies. During the meeting with Rutte, Trump stated that the US would be sending weapons and the allies would be financing them. Zelenskyy, in a post on X, conveyed his appreciation for the support and the ongoing collaboration. The discussion also covered strategies to protect Ukrainian citizens and bolster defenses against Russian military actions.
